How to knit sweaters? How to measure body size and count needle count when knitting sweaters

The history of sweater weaving is very long. In primitive life, humans use leaves and animal skins to cover their bodies. In fishing nets and fishing in fishing, they know how to use weaving techniques. With the evolution of civilization and the invention of science and technology, humans not only make full use of various natural fibers such as animals and plants to weave items needed for life. A variety of chemical fibers and mineral fibers have been developed to make human life more comfortable and convenient. Therefore, the history of weaving can be said to be a history of the development of human civilization and science and technology.

From the weaving works of various ethnic groups, it was found that although many works start from practical functions, as humans pursue beauty, weaving has transcended the scope of practicality and has become the crystallization of human art. It is either simple and rough, or exquisite and gorgeous, presenting a colorful look.

Here we will teach you how to measure body size and calculate the number of needles?

Take a 6-year-old boy as an example. The measured size is: a bust circumference of 66 cm, a shoulder width of 28 cm, a garment length of 40 cm, and a sleeve length of 38 cm.

Calculate the number of needles in each part according to the measured size. The sweater is a composite sweater. Except for the bust circumference, the remaining amount is increased by 6 cm, and the remaining amount of the eyes is measured. To achieve the same effect, increase the bust by 6 cm (6 cm is the minimum size). The calculation results of the size of each part are as follows:

bust circumference 66 cm + 6 cm = 72 cm

collar width is generally 1/3 of the chest width (the chest width is half of the chest circumference) 36 cm÷ 3=12 cm

shoulder width (28 cm< back shoulder width > -12 cm< collar width >) ÷ 2=8 cm

sleeve cage needle size (36 cm< chest width > -28 cm< back shoulder width >) ÷ 2=4 cm

sleeve cage depth is generally solid Measure the bust circumference by 1/466 cm÷ 4=16.5 cm (including shoulder oblique 2.5 cm)

Sleeve width, front and back sleeve cage depths are added (excluding shoulder oblique ) 14 cm + 14 cm = 28 cm

Sleeve mountain high sleeve width 1/3~1/428 cm÷ 4=7 cm

Front collar depth is generally 1/2 of collar width plus 1~1.5 cm12 cm÷ 2+1~1.5 cm = 7~>√ ≥

After the size is calculated, the number of needles can be calculated, and the number of needles can be calculated and then multiplied by the corresponding size. Examples: 31 cm wide chest width 61 needles, 1 cm number of needles is 61÷ 31≈ 2 needles, then the number of needles should be 2 needles × 36=72 needles, (6 patterns + 1 needle) The number of needles is 73 needles, and the number of needles in other parts can be calculated by themselves.

Due to the pattern, the calculated number of needles is not an integer. If the needle is not an integer multiple required to knit a pattern, you can make adjustments. Make up the remaining number of needles to the number of needles that can weave a pattern, or reduce the number of excess needles. However, the number of needles to adjust is limited, and generally only 2 to 3 needles can be increased or decreased. If this limit is exceeded, the body will become narrower or wider.
