How to take scientific care of newborn puppies?
Be careful not to drag the umbilical cord of a puppy too long to prevent it from hurting it. It will fall off automatically after a certain period of time. During this period, pay attention to the changes in the umbilical cord of the puppies and do not let the puppies suck each other to prevent infection and inflammation. If the umbilical umbilical cervical atresia is incomplete and blood flows out, or the urinary catheter is incomplete and urine flows out, ligation should be performed.
Because the body temperature of newborn puppies is low, it has poor temperature regulation ability, and the ambient temperature has a great impact on the life activities of puppies. Especially in the cold season, the production room should have heating facilities to keep the indoors dry. Generally speaking, the living ambient temperature of puppies within one week is 30~32℃; the ambient temperature of puppies within two to three weeks is about 27℃; the ambient temperature of puppies after 4 weeks of birth is 23℃.
Dog box should be made wide and comfortable so that the female dog can turn around and lie down without squeezing the puppy. The owner is on duty day and night to strengthen supervision, especially for female dogs with poor maternity, first child and neurotic fetuses. Keep the delivery room and surrounding environment quiet, and do not watch strangers to prevent female dogs from trampling on the puppy when they are stimulated and hit and bite.
