What is a "week dog"? People who want to buy a dog should pay attention!
Keeping pets is certainly a good thing, but as people’s demand for pets increases day by day, there are more and more channels for purchasing pets on the market. Many people must have heard of “week dogs”. So what does the dog of the week mean? What are the characteristics of the Sunday Dog? Today I will explain to you what is the Dog of the Week.

If unfortunately you run into an unscrupulous dog dealer and buy a disease-ridden "Show Dog".
The dog suffers, and the owner is hurt. What is a "week dog"? Puppies bought through unprotected channels are in good spirits, lively and cute at the time of purchase, but most of them will vomit, have blood in their stools, or even die after arriving at the new home for about 7 days. These dogs are affectionately called "week dogs." They are prone to diseases such as canine distemper and parvovirus. These diseases are highly contagious, have a high incidence rate, and have a low chance of being cured. They are very fatal to puppies. Moreover, some dogs have zoonotic diseases that are very likely to be transmitted to their owners. Not necessarily death or illness will occur within a week, but symptoms will definitely appear within a month. The luckier owner cured the puppy, but spent a lot of money on medical expenses. The owner who was less lucky had to pay a lot of medical expenses and the dog could not be saved.
Why do "week dogs" appear? Healthy puppies are born like this: Generally, puppies are about 2 to 3 months old and it is safer to be taken to a new home after receiving three shots of vaccine. During the 2 to 3 months after a dog is born, the cost of breeding, feeding, and caring for it is not low; and it is best for a normal dog to have only two litters a year, and deworming and physical examinations are required before giving birth to ensure the health of the mother and child. (1) According to the above breeding process, the number of healthy puppies is far from satisfying the market, and the cost is relatively high. (2) The mother has not undergone deworming and physical examination, so the innate health of the puppies cannot be guaranteed. (3) Dogs reach the "embarrassing period" around 3 months old. They don't look as cute and cute as they did when they were 1-2 months old, and they are not as handsome and beautiful as adult dogs, so they are not easy to sell. (4) Dogs are sold when they are about 1-2 months old, and follow-up vaccinations are not followed up, causing problems with the immune system and making them susceptible to illness. Therefore, driven by the above interests, unscrupulous dog dealers promoted the creation of "weekly dogs". They continue to carry out malicious breeding and crossbreeding. Because the mothers did not undergo deworming or physical examination before giving birth, some dog babies may be born with diseases. They will take the puppies away from their mothers before they are one month old, and they will also directly spend hundreds of yuan to collect a group of puppies of unknown origin from remote areas. This will mix all the puppies together, regardless of whether there will be cross-infection, let alone vaccination; in order to make it easier to sell, they also inject inferior serum or stimulant drugs (immune globulin) into the dogs; they set the selling price very high, which is a hugely profitable business!
The effect of short-term drugs makes these little guys look normal and lively on the day they are sold, but after arriving in a new home and changing to a new environment, the disease will gradually begin to show up on their little bodies, and most of them will gradually worsen as time goes by. In fact, it is not only "weekly dogs" that are prone to health problems. When buying a dog, problems such as appearance or physical defects, acquired coloration, impure blood, etc. are all common.
Market status Currently, China has a pet market worth nearly 200 billion, and about 1 in 10 people owns a dog. About 12 million dogs are bought home by new owners every year. However, more than half of them are traded through informal channels, and the incidence rate is extremely high. In other words, at least 6 million puppies every year do not survive more than 7 days after arriving in a new home. A number that sounds so cruel is the bloody fact of China’s pet market.
Buying a Zhou dog will not only cause financial and time losses, but also mental trauma.

If the virus carried by the dog is contagious, not only the home must be disinfected for a long time, but also it will not be suitable for raising puppies for a long time.
I hope that every caring person who sincerely loves dogs will keep their eyes open, choose regular and familiar kennels or other sources, and avoid channels such as "week dogs" to give dogs a complete love.
