Bonanott: Messi is my idol, joining Chelsea is an important step in my career
According to Chelsea's official website, the team's new aid/Argentine midfielder Bonanot, who was loaned from Brighton, was interviewed and talked about his feelings about joining Chelsea.
Bonanot is 20 years old and was selected for the Argentina national team. Last season, he was loaned to Leicester City by Brighton and made 35 appearances for Leicester City, with 6 goals and 3 assists.
What I feel about joining Chelsea
This is an important step in my career. I am very happy to be here, and I am also ready to give all my money for the team. I believe that I will have a very positive season in the coming season. I will have the opportunity to participate in the Champions League for the first time. This will be a huge challenge. I am looking forward to this and hope that I can help the club achieve their goals.
About my hometown Rosario
Rosario is a city that soccer first, and I am extremely proud of my roots in Rosario, where people live for football. A lot of great Argentine footballers come from Rosario, including what I think is the best player in the world – Messi, who is obviously my idol and he inspires me and everyone from Rosario. I have always loved watching Messi play football, and I have the honor of playing alongside him in the Argentina national team.
About the differences between Argentina and the United Kingdom
When I first moved to the United Kingdom, I had a hard time getting used to it at first. The culture, language and weather here are different. I remember when I first arrived here, it was pitch black at 5 pm and many places were closed. After training, I wanted to have a cup of coffee, but I didn’t know where to go. The culture here is really different from that in Argentina. Fortunately, when I joined Brighton, there were a lot of South American players and Spanish-speaking staff on the team who helped me settle down and told me what to do. I'm very grateful for their help. I've been in the UK for three years and I'm really happy now. I love English football, and I am satisfied to be able to play here, I am fully adapted and ready for the next challenge.
The football here is also very different from football in Argentina. You must be mentally and physically prepared, especially because the football here is very fierce, which is where I have to put in a lot of effort to adapt (I am already very accustomed to it now).
