Koeman: Resigning after the World Cup? It s a possibility, and like everyone else I think about the future

The Dutch national team is currently preparing for the World Cup preliminaries in Zeist. At a press conference on Monday, Dutch coach Koeman took an evasive attitude towards his future and praised midfielder Keith Smit during the period.
In a previous interview, Koeman discussed his possible departure from the Dutch national team, that is, if the Dutch team advances to the 2026 World Cup, it may be the last World Cup of his coaching career. Koeman said on Monday: "That interview was supposed to stay private, but it didn't work out."
Koeman: "It's a possibility, but it's not entirely up to me. I think about it occasionally. It's not something I think about all the time, but like everyone, I do think about it in the near future."
For Alkmaar's new midfield star Keith Si Smit, although the 19-year-old was not selected this time, Koeman confirmed that he is already paying attention to him: "I won't say too much because it might be confusing. I have experienced it with Pedri... I saw something in Smit... The performance he showed at such a young age is amazing. He is definitely one of the players on the list."
