Taiwan Electric 2 nanometer leak case investigation may cause shock in semiconductor equipment industry

According to reports from Asia on 2nd, several insiders revealed that during the tenure of Taiwan’s electricians, several front-line employees tried to obtain 2 nanometer “key information” of NTD. NTD was a routine monitoring period and found that it was not authorized, and there was a commercial secret leak. Six defendants including the Smart Property Inspection Branch of the Gao Inspection Office, including the former employee surnamed Chen, who was involved in the case, were continuously reported and detained from July 25 to 28. After the investigation, it was confirmed that the three defendants including Chen were involved in violation of the National Security Law and asked the court to detain and arrest him for approval. The review also searched the Bamboo Science Office of Tokyo Electron (Korean Tokyo Vili Technology, Japan), and it is not ruled out that it is related to this case.

Japan Tokyo Vili Technology, which won the "Excellent Technology Cooperation" and "Quality Support" awards for Taiwan Electric Power in 2024, has only operated by Dutch merchant ASML and Applied Materials.
